Obd1 trouble codes

Can someone smarter than me figure out what my blink codes equate to in numbers? I get short and long blinks and it’s very confusing. Can’t figure out if it’s supposed to be a 2 digit code or 3. I am an equipment mechanic and am more than technically skilled and mechanically inclined but this is my first time trying to decode obd1 codes and it’s got me confused. My issue is with the transmission but I’m trying to figure out if it’s the trans itself or an input/sensor causing the trans to feel like it’s going in and out of overdrive every couple seconds. Doesn’t seem to do it in regular drive mode. The video is too long to upload so I would have to send it via text I suppose. Thanks

Check for YouTube videos. They'll explain it and show it happening. There's also explanations and code tables on the web. I believe all OBD1 codes are two digit. So, one pause one = 11, no stored codes (KOEO). Generally, the short pauses are between digits and the longer pauses are between numbers or other parts of the sequence. The Hayes manuals usually have a good explanation.

I bought a code reader that plugs into the test port and shows the codes on the display. Turns out the codes are 3 digit. I pulled the ecu out and took the cover off. Capacitors are blown out. Ordered new ones and will desolder/resolder the new ones in tomorrow and see what changes and go from there. I didnt really end up with any fault codes that i didnt set by unplugging tps and maf sensor. Wires for both load tested fine back to ecu which is what led me to take it apart and look at the board.
