Got my new Digital Camera

UPDATED!!:

Got a call from Ford yesterday saying they think they found the potential problem with the tranny.

Turns out my exahust was rubbing against my drivetrain (dont know if it shifted from going off roading or not?). This caused a nice groove in my drivetrain which resulted in tranny problems.

So today I am taking my truck back to the muffler shop to have them reposition the exhaust, then take it back to Ford tomorrow morning to get the drivetrain replaced and tranny torn down...

From the looks of things, I wont have my truck for another couple days...O fun fun [/sarcasum]

but at least I get to drive it around a bit today :) and I get to drive my moms GT stang to work/school for a few more days...she needed the burban for work :D

Soooooooo I took my truck in yesterday for a few things. Made the appointment on Tuesday.

Had them check out the following

~Door Ajar light stays on when all doors are closed.
~Beeping noise when lights are turned on

Thursday night on my way to work my radio decided to start eating my CDs. I think ok they can check that out, good thing it didnt happen after I got it back.

Then on my way to the dealership Friday morning my OD OFF light starts flashing...I think ok no problem I can have them check that out too.
But not only does it flash, but the engine revs into the high 3000 low 4000 range...hesitates then shifts hard. :?

So I take it in, tell the guy all I need looked at...and ask for an estimate on a new fender flare.

Yesterday he calls and says they got everything but the trans problem takin care of (they would have to keep it over night for the trans guy to look at it)

~Replaced door hinges to fix door ajar problem
~They say my gauge cluster is causing the beeping when I turn on my lights (I figured they would use my cluster for an excuse for something :x )
~Replaced my radio 8)

I get a call this morning from Ford saying they think they know what the problem is. They are going to take apart half the tranny take a looks see inside to see whats goin on :? . The guy who works the tranny department said it could be one of three things. So they are gonna take it apart and tell Ford what they find, then Ford is gonna tell them how they want it fixed. The guy said they will probably just replace the trans...

I probably wont get my truck back until the middle of next week. *sigh* this sucks...I have to drive the fricken bus (aka Suburban) until I get it back... :x :(

All I can say is THANK YOU WARRANTY!!!! :D

Sorry for the long post, I am just sad I wont have my truck for a while

Yeah that sucks!, luckily nothing too bad has been wrong with mine yet. And i hope the ford dealer doesn't blame the problem on the new tires you got, that would really suck..

Bailey, do you want to come out of the closet now? Is there something we all need to know?

Bailey - have they said anything about warranty coverage?
If your aftermarket exhaust rubbed against the drivetrain and caused problems they may expect you to cover the repair cost.
Has anything been mentioned, because you might not want that surprise when the repairs have been completed.

There has been instances where a mis-placed muffler has chopped the driveshaft in two, I'd watch for that...
