Semper Fi.

Seriously. Somebody has GOT to know a Marine on Embassy Duty. I know they had a Marine House in Rio when I was there in the early 90's. They threw one hell of a party for us.

So we need a hard-charging Lance Corporal to get this man a VIN. Ooo-rah.

i doubt someone will give you a VIN number

its just a headlight from a ranger, theres no VIN number involved

the ford dealer sometimes has to have a VIN to get the parts ordered. that is what they use to look up the parts. for example they use it for parts of BRAND new vehicles and forgein vehicles

Come on...your telling me that Ford Canada can't call up Ford Mexico and ask them for the part? If they get the VIN they need to call them anyways..just tell them to get off their asses and find that part for you.

Using someone else's VIN is very illegal. We have had many people at our dealership escorted out in blue and white cars wearing nice silver bracelets.

I would go back and ask them to make some phone calls for you. If they say no again, look up ford dealers in the phone book and start making phone calls until someone is willign to help you out.

Ford is not the ones to control each dealership, the individual Franchisee has a right to do what he sees fit. We turn in every person who tries to commit VIN fraud because it not only hurts the dealership who helps the customer by using that VIN but the franchisee can lose the rights of the Franchise of that dealership. I dont know about the guys you talked to, but I need my job.

They asked my friend for a vin number for harley lights for his f250. We went out on the same dealers lot and found one. We then ordered his lights. I don't see a problem with this. Meaning who gives a **** if that is illegal.I wish I could help you out.

If anybody has access to Carfax check those VIN's and see what comes and if they are all good use them, and why would using someone else VIN to order parts be illegal its not like youre stealing their VIN to put on your car/truck ya know
