Roof Bar

It seems everyone has the KC Lightbar, but has anyone heard of anything else that could work too? Maybe something alittle lower. I understand that some people like the bar alittle higher for whatever reason but I dont think i want mine so high...it dosent matter about cost...just height...

Ive been looking everywhere with little luck, maybe its the only way

"everybody" doesnt own a KC bar lol i can off my head count like 5-10 people on this forum that i know about. being we have over 1000 members its highly not everybody...

there is the CARR bar which acully personally sticks up higher then the KC bar. and the cheapo Ebay bar which is even worse and looks like crap.

honistly in person the KC isnt that tall at all. I think pictures make it look taller. which its hight is nice you can still wax and clean underneath it and just enough room for like a socket and wench to tighten the lights without touching the paint...

only other way is drill holes in your roof and mount the lights directly to it...OR buy a roll bar from like Smitty

lol...please know I didnt mean everyone had one. I just meant thoes who do have the KC. In fact, im surprised more people dont have them. Must be an aqquired look. Maybe i should open a poll for this, but do you think that with an extended cab, a truck would look bad with lights on the roll bar so far in the back?

no it looks fine with a roll bar. MOST people go for the KC bar instead of a roll bar because they still want to use there bed like myself i already had a bed cover and didnt want to lose it because it gain MPG because of it. so i just went with a KC bar. and most people that have a light bar get KC is because there some much nicer, its a good bar. I love mine but now after owning it i wouldnt put it on my next truck, been there done that gonna try something else

Yeah i wish they made something lower also, but for the light beam to hit where you want it, i think they have to be that high....Unfortunatly i cant get one because sometimes when i go to the gym i have to park in the parking garage , or when i pull in my garage at my house, it wont fit....So i just put 2 lights behind the grill and 2 outside the grill...
