If I remember right, you can towed 6400 pounds, with 500 tongue weight...my memory is fading though...

I would say no problem. I rented one of those small U-Haul trailers (the enclosed one). I filled it with like a really heavy bedroom set, and i had no problems. I did turn O/D off though. She felt good though. No trouble stopping, nothing. Have fun with that CJ.

I wouldnt use a dolly to haul it. Get something with brakes. I also believe dollys can screw up transfer cases on 4x4s.

I would say no problem. I was driving two days ago and saw a 03 ranger towing a MASSIVE pontune boat. It looked to be just fine. To my suprise the rear end wasnt even saging that much.

Towing specs for the 06...

4.0L with manual and 4.10 gears=3120lb (ouch!)
4.0L with auto and 4.10 gears=5580lb (that's better)

My 02 is rated for 5600lb with the 4.0L with auto and 4.10 LS rear end.

It gets worse if you have an LII w/ the skid plates and crap and the manual trans. My Ranger is spec'ed to out-tow a Subaru Legacy wagon by all of 60 lbs..

I have a DOlly and have towed more than that all over the place. I would have no problem towing that at all. Those things are actually pretty light. I can lift one off the ground (at least the rear wheels).

Good Luck and happy wheeling!
