What type of performance spark plugs do you guys use

 

I use denso iriduim, I have no complaints.

 

Bosch Platinums, I replaced the motorcrafts @ 25k miles. Maybe it was all in my head, but felt like better detonations.

 

i have used autolite double platiums in my truck and i like them

 

Bosch Platinum +4 here.

I changed the stock plugs with Motorcraft double platinums. I had those in my truck for about a year and a half and had some issues with them. Every 4-5 months, the gap would go from 0.042" to 0.070" and wider. My truck also pinged pretty bad with 87 octane and even with 93 octane so I ditched them and went to the Bosch plugs. Haven't had any issues in 9+ months.

 

I have some ngk iriadiums in my car and there like six months old or so and there starting to go so i wanted to upgrade my spark plugs in my truck with some performance and just wanted to know if there were any problems

 

lol I put NGK's in my three-wheeler only cuz they're cheap and they're fouled out quite often. Helps to have a spare or two, then I glass bead em all at once.

 

well good luck with your three wheeler my plugs cost me something like $11.00 for four when i could have spent 5 bucks for four

In my last car I pulled NGK's and put in Bosch PLatinum +4s, the smoothness and acceleration difference was there, even to passengers. I recommend Bosch any day.

 

arent the plats bad with juice D?

 

I wont run anything but stock plugs. Unless you have a supercharger or are spraying you dont need any more than stock.

 

i use ngk for my dirtbike only,not my truck though, i use motocraft plugs

 

Bosch were the cause of a mis-fire with my 3.0L. The mis-fire was eliminated when I went with Motorcraft double platinums.

 

I have tried many of the available plugs and have found the best performance and mpg with the plain old motorcraft factory plugs. I have a 2.3L though. I use the agsf32-fec plugs.

 

Ok, I just got some Bosch spark plugs and I cannot find where to put them when I'm looking at the engine. Are they under the "4.0 liter" case, or burried in the engine somewhere? If anyone knows exactly how to get to them,just reply or send me an email, and that would be awesome. Thanks

 

Also, I love how I asked the guy at autozone if Bosch was REALLY the brand that I wanted to put in my truck and he said, "Yes." The answer is probably no.

 

dude, dig up a 2 yr old thread? BOsche's suck in our trucks....go motorcraft or autolite.

 

Buying Bosch when there are so many threads telling you how bad they are in a Ford product, and not knowing where they go.........I suggest getting somebody else to install the correct plugs for you!
