Marker Lense/Headlight Mod

Alright guys this is a mod that I have done for my 2000 but I am positive that it can be adapted for other years. I use headlight covers and refuse to take them off when darkness falls so this is why this mod works so well. During the day you cannot see anything behind the covers. I do not promote doing it unless you have black out's!! If anyone wants to know how this was done it is simple, just ask. Hope you all like it. On with the pictures!!

Got the Ranger emblem symbol offline and used Infranview (resizer program) to fit it to size. Went out and got some black posterboard so the light didn't shine through. Taped the two together and went at it with a razorblade, a couple hours later..............<2 Hours>.........................They were ready to be applied using a steady eye and some shipping tape. I'm glad that you all like them lol. Ben

Wait so there is black posterboard between your headlight and the headlight masks? Wouldn't the corner light still be masked?

This should clear it up a little bit......with the blackouts on the headlights, the corner lights, and the marker lenses are covered up by it. My marker lense is what blinks when I turn so that is why I did not completly cover it. When I turn my signals on the Ranger emblem blinks, although it is still covered by the blackouts you can see through them fine. Hope that helps some, Blades

Lol, thanks guys. Thanks Zach, I figure I will take this time to tell you how much in love with your truck I am. Whenever the talk of trucks comes about with my buddies I tell everyone of them about yours, I say "if you could put a bowtie on a truck and make it perfect then this is his truck". Just thought I would share that with you. Appreciate all the compliments guys!! Ben

Could you just get some stickers made ans use them instead? Seems like it would be easier. Installed outside the light. Just wondering.
