full skid?
full skid?
idk if anyone has looked under an H1 before, but i saw one at a dealership a few months ago.. and got inspiration!
haha
anyways, the truck has full skid plating front to rear (which i knew b4 hand) but it was much more extensive then i had imagined..
ANYWAYS..
does anyone have any opinions on doing almost the full under side of a ranger in say... 1/4" plate? haha
its gonna cost me.. but in the end it could save my a$$

1/4" would be nice but the weight would be a beoch, and remember if you ever need to get under your truck to make a quick fix your gonna have to unbolt that heavy *** thing without it crushing you lol. I like the idea though!!
its called and under body pan a lot of hot rod guys use them to cover up everything for a clean lol guessing the hummer is doing it for protection and probably better MPG cause if you make the underside smooth you will get better MPG but then again working on it sucks ***...
It's also called a "flat belly." Alot of guys on Pirate4x4 use them. They put on a small body lift so they can stuff the drivetrain upwards out of the way and then put a flat belly on there. Very cool. It keeps the rocks out of your stuff and keeps you from getting hung up on things while off-roading too. If you can find a way to make it work, go for it!
olne major diff is that the h1 uses independent susp. and therefore the drive shaft doesnt move so they just cover it, if anything you might get from the driveshaft to the frame rail wich isnt much but anything is better than nothing, as long as you use it. i.e. rock climing and stuff like that.

as for the H1.. they do use 4wheel independent.. and under stuff like the tranny and engine and w/e... its not a plate.. its more fo a bunch of cross members/tubing u can either reach through or take off...
*Drool* H1
idc if its huge personally.. i would love to have one.. they suck when it comes to stuff a jeep can do best.. bc it has 4 wheel ifs.. but when it comes to pure brute, and ability to climb almost anything.. i would take a hummer.. if i had the money haha
yea... show me the money.. and hell ill make a skid plate outa ****in platinum.. well probably not, i would take ur money get some polished steel and go retire... b4 i start a career haha
