Great Stuff speaker baffle

Great Stuff speaker baffle

So, i don't know why, but I've been thinking about wierd audio ideas and can't get a great stuff baffle out of my head. Take out the back speakers and spray a "bowl" in behind. Not sure if it even makes sense but I thought I throw it out there. Possible? Useful? Pointless? Dumb?

I thought those things were a flexible foam "box" that goes in behind the speaker with a lip over the panel. Makes sort of a speaker box.

From what I and a few others have found, the front doors create better sounding bass. You'd probably have better luck doing the front speakers than the rear.

I've got baffles both in the front and rear, and they don't make a hell of a difference.

You're talking about the expanding foam spray "Great Stuff", yes? It's very low density and I don't think it will contribute much to damping panel movement and thought it might baffle higher frequencies, I expect bass to pass right through it -- which is the place you mainly need it to be effective.

From experience dont do the front doors. That suff expands and is very sticky. I will foul up the inner workings of the doors, It also takes quite some time to set up

Great Stuff is amazing in the tailgate that's about it. I sprayed two cans in the bottom of my tailgate to take all of the rattle out of it with my subs. Otherwise I can't really see the use for it.
