Oh Chebby Springs
Oh Chebby Springs
Do they have to be 2wd? or can they 4wd? I got a set, but im not sure yet which ones they are.
and how much of a raped ape would the truck turn into with them on the truck now? with just coil spacers up front?

It is easy to tell the difference. 2WD is 4 leaf, 4WD is 5 leaf.
Although either will work, my choice would be the 2WD springs. They are quite a bit stiffer than the strongest factory Ranger leaf pack and raise the rear about 3".
The 4WD springs would definitely have a harsher ride than I would want.

was the hieght it raised without the factory block , or ontop of it? Becuase mine is 2wd, and i dont have factory block, or any for that matter back there.
I think the springs are 2wd, three leaves and an overload. maybe not, im feelin lazy and dont wanna walk outside and see.
Thanks alot Bob

yea, i saved those same pics. But i was reading on TRS, and theyve warned not to install the springs without the chevy shackles as well. they say the ranger shackle is insufficient and will have a bad angle.
Im not looking to put the springs and shackle on right now. just trying to get some stuff done on the SAS project, and this is one step. also allows me to sell my duff bars.

Using the stock Chevy shackles won't help much because they have almost the same dimensions as the stock Ranger part. Longer aftermarket Chevy drop shackles will improve the angle but also lift the rear of a Ranger an additional 1"~1.5".
