this truck worth buying?
this truck worth buying?
what you guys think?...he said the only thing wrong with it is that it needs a new tranny cuz he was driving and slammed it in reverse and i guesss the drive shaft broke in the tranny.. and the rear end needs a new ball bearing? wtf is that anyway?..anyway its a 1997 4.0 with locked posi rear end 33's and for the other bad part..its a drop down bracket type lift...i think its procomp...eh..but the a/c and heat works..the engine runs it has 140k miles on it.clean interior,he wants 3k...
Sounds beat to crap. I wouldn't buy it for a main vehicle but if you plan to wheel with it or just drive it when the weather is crappy I would do it. But since you live in LA I dought you get much bad weather. (snow)
bedsides are pulled..and as far as transmission goes..bah 2k for rrebuilt..damn so total my truck will cost 5k..shiat..almost like buying a stock newer model lol..imma call around for some tranny prices..i know my mom paid 2500 at AAMCO damn crooks
Doesn't look too bad. What kind of wheels are those on it?
Also, I would say you would probably be able to find a cheaper transmission at a junkyard. I put a low mileage transmission from a 2001 into my gen II. It was a 5spd and ran about $500.

i just had my tranny rebuilt at AAMCO...thank God for EXTENDED WARRANTY...although they did try and screw us and charge 2,100...but we caught em' messin with us....now they have a law suit filed against them :-)
probably...just park in the shade and roll windows down in the summer....and in the winter layer up...haha...my dads 87 ranger had no a/c and heater either....or radio...had it installed after he bought it...cant remember how much that cost though...
lol..errr..damn im already wearing 4 layers of clothes when i go out and im still cold lol..undershirt,overshirt,sweater,jacket..and i heard we are due for the hottest summer this year! but that truck would be a fun toy.
