Eyelids for Rangers?

I've always thought that eyelids, or eyebrows, have looked good on some vehicles (SRT4). A while ago I though up painting the inside of some clear headlight covers and putting them on, but since I got some spare headlights(2 sets) I'm thinking of taping off some eyelids and spraying on the Nightshades. It'd kind of look like this. Keep in mind this would be just for fun, I'd still have my blackout headlights. Is this the dumbest idea ever or some creativity? You be the judge.

idk i think it would look cool, you would have todo the headlight mod tho.
and im not sure if nightshade would look right.
maybe paint the lens from the inside with some gloss paint?
run it off to the end of the bug shield thing.

I was just looking for something quick and fun to do. If I were to do nightshades I would most definitely coat it 'til you can't see through it and then clear it like crazy to make sure the deer don't chip it off when they hit them, but overall I think it'd be kind of cool. I might go to pepboys or Wallyworld to find something glossy and then get some durable clearcoat.

Just as a "I'm the only person in the world off today and I have nothing better to do" project.

i think it looks bad **** actually, gives it a real mean look...i say do it...

EDIT: oh i think you should do it on the outside with niteshade so it matches the bug shield in color since it is more opaque than paint would be

It works on an SRT4 b/c of the way the headlights are shaped and how they are on the car. I don't think it would have the same effect at all on the ranger or any truck for that matter.

haha.....like the idea, but hell no. The shape of the headlights just don't make it work.

Sorry man, I think the headlight mod would be much better looking without that. If you've got the free time, I'd do the headlight mod.

Grille looks good though, where can I get me one?

Ha ha, alright alright. I can see how you get an 03 Chevy from that. Not sure about the Chinese. What do ya'll think I can do with these things? I have my nice set all blacked out headlight modded and I have two sets of stock headlights and corners. I thought it'd be kind of funny to have an angry Ranger staring at you through your rear view.

I think I have the best idea for your spare headlights and corners... box them up -make sure to wrap them up nicely, write my address on the box, go to your post office and mail them to me.

I don't think it looks all that bad either. At least it's different.

Karpe, that's another idea. I saw an F-150 with headlight covers like that and it fooled me for a second thinking it had the headlight mod. If I were to do it like that I'd most likely paint it the grey color. I don't need to actually do the headlight mod, then I'd have 2 sets of modded headlights.

Winks, if you're wanting them I got another spare set. Are you wanting them as a backup plan if you mess the headlight mod up?

to each his own, but if you do decide to do it, use vinyl. go to one of those shops that make custom vinyl stickers and get one in a matching color. if you dont like it, you can just peel it off.

I like it...looks like the truck is angry. And i also agree...get it done in vinyl..that way if you decide later that you don't like it...just peel it off.

It actually doesn't look to bad at all, although I would mod the headlight covers sold by GTS if I wanted eye brow covers (little less work involved all you need is a dremel tool and some good cutting skills).

Besides I think it's unique, and I'm in the process of ordering my Bi-Xenon projectors from a BMW E46 chassis , for a custom retro-fitted HID project.

I wanted a complete kit from an Audi RS6 thru HIPlanet.com but it's a bit on the costly side at 549.99 plus 25 for shipping..so the ultimate package may have to wait out til later this summer.

I was eyeing plug and play kits but I'd rather retain the high and low beam function of the truck.
