exhaust clamp from behing the catilytic coverter rusted and broken HELP!

My exhaust was loud as hell so I looked under and noticed it is seperated from the converter back. I think the part that holds the pipes together rusted away. Can I just get this welded together? Or will i have to replace something?

Hey Mark, thanks for taking care of that for me. Problem soved. My problem was fixed less than 15 hours from the time I posted this.

Also, I am glad I found these forums. I dont post here much I usually just come for info. I am glad I did this time or I may have done something stupid.

My flange totally rusted apart. My muffler was essentially doing nothing. I had a flowmaster 40 and a new flex coupling put on. Worked like a charm. My exhaust guy said that this is a frequent occurrence with those flanges.

DO NOT weld it solid!
i got two quotes for a brand new system when i had this problem...800-1000$, it was crap...

i just replaced the gasket in the flange and replaced the bolts and it worked out just fine so far so unless youve already gotten that taken care of, i spent 15$ and got it fixed...
