Is this Price good for an 2004?

Hello I am looking at some Rangers and I can get a 2004 for $13,982 and it has 54,297 miles. Its blue and the super cab 2 door XLT. Took it out for a test drive and it runs greats but its BASIC it has no power anything.

What you think?

TErrible price.

Is it 4x4?

I paid 13K for my 04 Ranger FX4(great interior and 4wd with skidplates and limited slip and some other crap) and it had 38K miles and a tiny bit of warranty left.

I see you're in Wisconsin, get over to Minnesota because rangers are made there, Freeway ford is where I bought mine.

Well man, they bluebooked my truck at 20K, I think I left the piece of paper in Minnesota before I came back to Alaska but definately it was marked as 20K, WITH brand new ranger 4x4s selling on the lot for 16.5K Tag price.

So basically, if it's on the dealership property, they should automatically drop the price for you when you push them a bit. Tell them you know someone who bought an 04 FX4 package for 13K one year ago, with 20 thousand less miles. I didn't even haggle the price really at all.

ha ya I was looking online and just found a silver FX4 silver 4X4 with 54K miles going for $12,999 which isnt bad and it has a top (i would ditch it or sell it) so I will check that out and if its bad its back to the other one.

I was trying out like 2000 and 2001 as well and the 04 4.0 trucks kick so much more than the other ones. The 200 and 01' were really slow acceleration compared to these 04'

Phil,

I have an '04 Fx4 Level 2 with leather and Pioneer on my lot that has a hanger price of $17,844. It has Just under 24,000 miles. The factory warranty is up, but it would be possible to have it pre-owned certified and a 6 year 75k mile powertrain warranty added to it. If you purchase before the end of the month you the cert pre-owned warranty also qualifies you for 4.9% for up to 60 months.

Here is a link to it. http://application.middletonford.com/details.php

I may very well. We have a regular fx4 that is green with a fiberglass tonneau cover on it. We took it in on trade on Saturday so it will be a couple of days before it is out, but I will check the info on it and get back to you.

Are you looking to buy it out right, or are you financing?

Do you have any modifying plans for it. Like larger tires, lift, engine modifications, off-roading?

Phil here is an '03 level 2 with twin shifters for just under 12k. It has over 60k miles, but given that '03 was the last year for the manual transfer case you would be getting a rather rare truck.

'03 L2

Make sure it's a level 2, altho by the info posted it damn sure should be. That's a pretty good deal and you could probably talk it down a nudge.

in early 04 I paid 10.5k for my 01 XLT 4x4 with 55k miles. In late 05 I paid 14.5k for my 03 Level II with 27k. Both trucks were 4.0L 4 door extended cabs with 4.10 gears and a 5spd manual transmission. The 01 I bought in Texas, the 03 I bought in Ohio.

I don't mean to be hijacking the thread. I'm trying to sell my Ranger and its a 2004 with 24,000 miles on it. It's almost just like this truck that he is talking about. What is a good price for a truck like that then? The KBB does say 20, which I know is way too much. Everyone is saying that 14 is too much, just wondering what the right price is then.

For what it's worth, I'm selling my '04 Level II with 36k miles and a bunch of extras for $14,500, and haven't sold it yet... So yeah, it's too much for that truck.
