Screamin Demon progress on stock 4.0

I've been wanting a Screamin Demon for my truck since Maurice's thread, I want to see how it will affect a stock 4.0. I finally hit up underdog-performance for one along with some 8mm wires, and I picked up a set of Autolite double platinums. I will be installing everything this weekend and will update this thread as things progress.

EDIT (7/31/07):

I finally got to drive my truck with the new set up last night and this morning, and it's nice! I totally agree with Maurice's results, better idle, pickup and acceleration. I'll have an idea of highway gas usage this weekend on my Buffalo trip.

My last fill up before coil change was 16.5mpg mixed city and highway, I usually get ~18mpg at ~100% highway.

(8/10/07) Filled up last night - 17.5mpg mixed driving

I would swap plugs and wires at the same time. It is recommended to change the GAP on your plugs, so you might as well change them, IMO.

don't you have to re-gap the plugs?

I put one on my truck recently and haven't seen much of a differance either. My old coil pack had lots of miles on it, so i figured i would give one a try. I have not checked my mileage with it yet but will soon.

You stock gap is probably .65 anyway. My 04 stock gap is .065 so a coil pack would have done nill difference.

put a sd pack in my ranger today, acceleration was a bit quicker, startup was fast and the idle seemed stronger, must finish tank of gas with seafoam then a tank of regular gas and see what changes i get.
