satelite radio

my installation mod, drilled out the suction cup, removed lower accesory center thing, drilled out and bolted together. the power plugin will soon be connected behind the dash and out of sight. they really offer pretty lame installation methods with these things so i thought i would go in a different direction, anyone else done somethin like this?

Nice mounting spot, I wanted to put mine there but having a stick it wouldn't have worked. I ordered the mounting bracket made for our trucks, it fits well....

I have mine mounted in the same place with screws and all the wires behind the dash the antenna comes out of the brake light in the back to go onto the roof. Gotta find some batteries and I'll take a pic.

I really like the ones not built in because you can store music on them like a Tivo in your car its really nice and you get a full display.

Well idk how they did it but if you go to ABC warehouse and spend a couple grand on stuff they'll do it lol, depends on which Sirius you get too if you can store music. Mine you can store the last 48mins of music that was on and rewind threw the songs. I assume in order to get it to turn on and off with the vehicle you connect the hot wire onto something that is only on when the car is on just like with an amp but not 100%.
