From an efficiency stand point it's not good. But there are people out there who make it work.
From what I understand the 3.0L is a all iron motor right?
If so.. I'd back all the head bolts off to about 20ft lbs. Then replace them one at a time with good ARP bolts. Then sequentially re-torque them to spec.
That and a good fat / low timing tune would support about 8-9psi of intercooled charge. Maybe 10-12psi if you had adequate fuel supply.
