hey i just installed a new 63 series K&N aircharger on my 07' ranger and im just wondering if it should be making a noise when i turn my ac on and off ( it kind of sounds like "ba dump")almost like a decompression or air gap. Let me know if this is normal or if something is wrong. it also makes this sound when i put it in park sometimes too. Help me out because i have no idea so i need all the help i can get. Thanks.

 

if its the same noise i hear when i turn my AC off i hear it also i cant really explain the sound but it sounds i guess like when a Semi or a bus releases air... like tssssssst

 

ok then i guess its normal. did you do it yourself? and also for the hose that you replace on the crank case attached to the valve cover did you go over top the coil for the ac fo did you go under it. I went above because when i went under the tube kinked up so i didn't think that would work to well.

 

also when you accelerate does the filter have a very faint whistle noise to it or is that air coming out because i dont have it securly fastenend.

 

well you should definetely fasten it now! but yea it does have a very faint whistle to it..or at least mine did

the a/c decompression sound is normal

i dont know about you but it seems my gas pedal vibrates when my AC is running

 

alright yeah mines makes alot of noises but thier not bad noises so.... yeah i haven't noticed the gas pedal yet
