Icon8 Radiator, Over heating, door ajar light, dome light, cranking issues

Ok, i fill my coolant to the max line, let it settle fill it back up to the max line, fifteen minutes later it's empty. It's leaking directly out of the bottom of the radiator. and it's basically just a steady stream. Should i try radiator stop leak? if so where in the heck is the radiator cap on this thing???? This truck is pissin me off. IF you can answer these other problems that'd be great also.

1. The door open light stays on when they truck is running, i can't turn the key backwards to listen to the radio when i'm washing it or changing oil or anything because that stupid light won't go off (and yes the doors are shut) so it just keep beeping at me.

2. The dome light comes on and goes off whenever it fills the need. after i turn the truck off and get out and shut the door, it will stay on anywhere from five minutes to an hour. also when i get in the truck and crank it up it does not go out for a minute or two, which is really aggravating at night when you're trying to back up and can't see crap because that light is blinding your back glass.

3. The truck will not crank some days. when i turn the ignition the lights blink very fast and the engine makes a clicking noise, it will attempt to turnover then click some more then attempt to turn over then click some more. the battery is fine because i have no issues with anything else even when it won't crank i can run the radio, heat, lights, etc.

I guess that's all for now. thanks for any help you can give me!!!!

its an '03 Ranger xlt 2.3 5 spd regular cab basic

For the # 1,2,3 questions, spray some WD-40 into the door, where the latch is. The switch that tells the truck the door is open is sticking on, and thats what is causing the dome light to stay on. It can also drain your battery enough to the point that it won't start. The lights will still turn on because there is still enough to power them and everything else, just not enough juice to crank the starter.

i can answer one of em... and give you an idea on the others...

the door ajar light and the dome light... try to clean the sensors that are near the hinges... spray the stuff out of them with WD-40... open and close a couple times then and spray some more... SHOULD get rid of the problem..

as for the slow crank... might have a bad alternator?

as for the radiator.. i wouldnt go for the fix in can... find the hole first... if its a hose... replace the hose... i forgot where exactly the cap is.

ive got an 02 ranger edge 3.0 v6 auto.. ive been there and done it my friend... im currently replacin the u joints on it now... your stuff is cake compared to my pile! lol

good luck!!

DW-40 fixed my door adjar problem. That is most likely your problem with number 2 as well. It happened to me and after DW-40 good as new.

dont mess around with any type of stop leak or pour in fix for the radiator. Take a look and find out exactly what is leaking. If it is a hose they are quite cheap and realatively easy to replace. If it is the actual radiator they're also not very expensive and are VERY easy to replace.

The other 3 problems sound like exactly what everyone else has said about the door switch sticking, clean it out and get it all working properly and all 3 of those problems should be gone.

As for the dome light....

If it stays on and the next day you cant get it to crank go get a new battery. My dome light was on for 2 days (my dumbass didnt close the door and I was sick so I didnt knwo it was on) And it cranked just fine, my battery is still stock from 3 years ago.

As for the radiator see if a junkyard has one it shoudl be fairly cheap and there not hard to do yourself.
