i know the 4.0 ohv and 2.9 have the same block. I was looking on directfordparts.com at y-pipes for it and a 1993 4.0 y-pipe is $180 and it says fits 93-97 4.0 and 2.9 (i thought the 2.9 was done before then). and a y-pipe for a 1986 ranger (says fits 4.0 and 2.9) is $83.00 can i use the y-pipe off of the 86 ranger on my 1993 4.0? i dont care if the cats bolt up because it will be getting a complete exhaust.

ford parts lately i tell ya. im so freaking fed up between this exhaust and getting parts for my 98 ranger. ford tells me everything i want is discontinued even though they are still making trucks with the exact same parts
