Loss of Traction
Loss of Traction
I'm a new '04 4x4 Ranger owner, coming from an Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. My truck has 65K miles and the original Goodyear Tires with a decent bit of tread left on them. I find that with moderate application of throttle on wet roads from a stop, the rear (passenger I believe) tire breaks loose. Is this normal ? Is it because I have still have the original (not so good) tires ?
tires are worn out......happens on some tires, after a certain amount of time they don't get good wet traction. my uncles truck had some michelin tires on it and they had about 35% tread life left and there was no traction on wet roads from a stop.
get some new tires and it will fix the problem.

Those tires cause accidents. Racing slicks are a better choice then those RT/S's. Having an open diff. will cause that one wheel spin. I still spin with my Toyo's only on uphill starts, gotta learn to start slow.
If you dont mind me asking why no more Audi love?

Get rid of the Goodyears.
It doesn't help that you are coming from all-wheel-drive to one-wheel-drive either. lol
