i have a lift what?

Bah so went to farm and fleet to get my tires re aligned and he has it up on the lift and im watching then i realize he is having trouble with something so he asked for help and then i go over to observe and he then says my front Left tire the Upper Ball join is worn and needs replaced. He also said i have a lift am in like Uhh not that i know of lol. So my question is would running 33's void my warranty? if so i can put the old ones on tell it get fixed.

I took some pics maybe you can tell if i have w/e lift he is talking about

You dont have a lift unless you cranked your torsion bars. He probably just compared it to a regular ranger which is 2 inches lower than the 4x4's. As for the worn upper ball joint, thats just something that wears, especially with 33's. Putting stock tires back on for warranty wont matter because ball joints just wear out.

Please make a signature with your truck info in it so we can help you out some more.

The guy probably though your stabilizer bar links was part of some sort of a lift.............obviously you won't be going back there.

get a second opinion, you may very well need a new arm/balljoint, but If the guy is telling you that you have a lift I wouldnt trust him for anything

If you do have a bad ball joint, make sure thats all the mechanic replaces. I took my 99 in for new ball joints, and he replaced the entire upper control arm, this is not necessary. New ball joints can be put into the old upper control arms. Just FYI

Try to find a stand-alone upper ball joint......they don't exist. It's a complete new arm w/ built in joint. That's the reason that it's like $100 each upper....and only like $30 for each lower.

Well, you can find a stand alone upper ball joint, but you cant put it in the stock upper arm. Moog upper arms have replaceable ball joints.
