Well, the time has come for the Ranger to go..It's a 1997 2.3L 4-Banger, 5-spd. Heat works great, but no A/C. 117,xxx miles...Black in color, as you can see in the pictures. It's got custom dual exhaust, an airbrushed rollpan, brand new tires (less than 2,000 mi), washed and waxed at least once/wk..Paint looks great for 10 years old. All wired up for a system, and I'm leaving my Sony XPLOD head unit in there as well. It's got a new battery and alternator as well. Take a look at the pics, and help me with a price tag..It's obviously going to be "negotiated" by a buyer, but I just need a general area..
Ignore the water streaks..Too lazy to wipe it off, just showing the paint looks good..

Tires

Speaker wiring

Head Unit

Interior

Back end/exhaust/roll pan

Drivers side (ignore the b-ball hoop ha)

Entire back end (Reppin' the Ford oval, and RF sticker :p)

More distant back end

Passenger side

Front end

Angle shot

maybe 4500. Its an 11 year old single cab 4cyl so its pretty generic. Roll pan and exhaust wont add any value and might decrease the value to some people so thats my price including 15% to bargain with
Kbb as good condition would be $2,085 Private Party..
try craigslist and check your local listings for comparisons..
though thats if you lived in texas! though no a/c in texas would be a bad idea in the summer..

Honestly..
Its a northern Vehical, Stick.. Low miles for its year. A/C doesn't mean a lot to Yankees ( its nice, but not necessary ).
I would think 2 grand max ( I have an 03 with 50kmiles and a LOT of mods/custom work/suspension and I would be lucky to get 5 for mine ).
Having a Stick hurts resale as the market for people whom drive them is tiny.

KBB is a pretty good source that will get you into the "neighborhood" so to speak.
I went there and if that were selling in my area.... $1200 wholesale (trade in allowance) and it would retail for $2900 at a used car lot.
IMO you'd be doing reasonably well to sell it for $2500

ive got basically the same truck, minus the exhaust and rollpan. i bought mine off a friend about 3 years ago, with 97,xxx and he said he had problems selling it above $3500. the market might be a little different now, im just letting you know about my experience.
