Grinding "whirring" sound

Every once in awhile lately I get an expensive sounding grinding whirring sound from my right from wheel. It seems to happen at random times and is only noticeable over 20mph. When I stop it goes away, but today it started back up again. Then I pulled over, backed up a little and it has been fine ever since. It has done it 3 times, the first time when I hadnt even though of 4wd and the other 2 times when I had recently used it and went back to 2wd.

Any ideas?

i got the same problem from the elft side front. sounds like the 4wd is like half engaged. everyone i talked to tho says im either dilusional or 'its fine' seriously tho. i think it might be either the front shaft binding up alittle or the front wheel bearings. cause right after my accident and they replaced all the driverside front end parts the problem went away, well, now its back and its been like this for a year now. next time im at D's ima see about taking a peak at it since i dont know what im looking for or looking at in that department.
