Amber bulbs are not required by law. Amber or white are acceptable. But you're supposed to have an amber REFLECTOR in them regardless.

Some officers think that amber is required but if you check the regs you'll see that either white or amber are acceptable. Similarly, either red or amber turn signals are acceptable in the rear, though tail and brake lights must be red. Also, you must have a red reflector in the rear.

Well i am just doing a amber bulb without reflector...i think that would be ok. Actually my front head light is clear but it has a amber bulb. i think it has a reflecter in it. Then i have that orange corner.

Not entirely true for all states, here in Oregon the statute simply states that tail/brake lights must show red when lit. I don't have any colored lenses on my truck at all. My Tails have super bright red LEDs in them and as soon as I get off my lazy butt, I will be ditching the amber bulbs in my turn/park lamps and replace 'em with amber LEDs, I just can't justify forking out the $80-100 bucks to get the LEDs just yet. But it is best to look up the statute in your state to make double sure.

The clear corners for 01+ already have a white reflector built in, and it's just like the stock corner, but clear w/ a clear/white reflector in the corner. I ran those for YEARS...and no probs man. Just don't put those bright white bulbs in there that the glass is blue....cops loved them when i had those. lol.

the outer orange part is just the park lights. the little amber light in the middle is the turn signal.

or on my 02 atleast.

Much, much better! It would look better with clear bulbs all the way around. I have been running with no yellow bulbs for over 3 years and never had a problem.
