Painting Headlights

Can I paint the inside of my headlights and if so how do i go about doing this? I have a friend with a Cobalt who said he threw his in the oven to seperate the headlight so he could paint it. I just wanted to check with some Ranger people to see if that process would work or if Id do damage

Thanks and sorry if this is already in some thread Im new to Ranger Forums

Yeah thats what you do, just bake em on low in the oven and check them often, the glue will soften allowing you to separate them. Just mask of the reflectors, spray the paint on and them seal them back up and you'll be good to go.

The headlight mod is really slick it sets off the front end a lot. If you do it make sure you throw up some pictures on here

corners have been done.....in a similar fashion as the headlamp housings. But i hear they are harder than the headlamp housings. Get yourself a set of clear corners, and mod those....because modding stock ambers are fugly. lol.

Or....you can always get the lamps off ebay that are already done up like that....you can see my ebay ones in my avatar. They be like $140 shipped....headlamps and corners.

What's illegal about it? Dodge Chargers come with the blacked out headlamps straight from the factory.

You still retain the two forward facing headlamps, you still retain the forward facing turnsignals, as well as running lights. The only thing you are modding is what the headlamps don't use to reflect light.....the dead space.

The clear corner lights have been an area of concern for some folks, because it has a white reflector instead of an amber one, but i've ran those for more than 5 years on two different rangers with no problems. White reflector in the front is legal in my state.
