Did you replace the ONE pin sensor or the two pin sensor?

Icon9 Same problem

I have the same problem with my '92 (2.3L). Replaced the T-stat and still won't climb into the *normal* temp range and heater blows 45 degree air (mind you it's 25F outside). Performance and Mileage really sucks because it never reaches running temp, down +20% or more.

Truck has set for about 5 yrs, and just bringing her back to the road now, drained the antifreeze, new t-stat, water pump is working, radiator appears clear.....but I'm lost, cooling systems are pretty simple, but I can't figure this problem out.

Ideas?

could be a bad heater core, who knows.

just because its new doesn't mean its good, i just put a new tstat in mine and its messing up.

IMO, i would get a motorcraft tstat from ford, thats what im doing this time.

Forgot to post a follow up... seems the *new* t-stat was no better than the old one... replaced it with another purchased from another parts store and she's been holding normal temps without complaint.
