if i do it im gonna do gloss only because i think flat black will look like a cheap factory bumper, like the ones that come on bottom like delivery trucks

glossy black would look awesome! Kevin hit it on the nail, too...sometimes a little flat black is alright, but the bumpers would be way too much. Are you thinking of doing it yourself or taking it to someone?

hey
i did it to my truck
but i used bedliner black
spray can from fred meyer
duraliner
you have to layer it to make it come out good

it works good because bedliner is a self primer

IT LOOKS AWSOME!!!

here are the pics
first pics are unpainted NOT LIFTED
other pics are after the lift with new tires
but with the bedliner

I like the black I think it looks a lot better than the gray flares with everything else being black

I got bored so I did a couple different things to your truck.

Here is what you asked for.

Pls dont do the grill trim and the whole bumper. Just the flares, bumper trim, lower valences, and mayb the mirrors with the same color black so all trim is the same color.
I painted all of that on mine with krylon fusion semigloss black

I went from chrome to black and the only thing that I have left is the grill and trim pieces around it! Maybe do that this summer...

I didn't paint it myself but I didn't exactly take it to a professional shop either, my buddy does body work outta his house and he did it in his garage cuz hes got all the right tools, its just a regular base coat clear coat on the body and bumpers, however- the plastic trim on the rear bumper cover and fog light valence was a completely different process cuz of the plastic, not sure what he used but it hasn't chipped or faded yet! Been almost a year I think...
