'83-'97 Twin Traction Beam (TTB) information.....(sticky?)
Maurice is there a reason why you wouldn't buy the 4" Superlift lift kit instead of an 6" if you are going to use the 4" mounting holes on the bracket anyways? What about the coils and shocks being used with it that are 6", not an issue?
The plan is now to stick with 31's and get the 5.5" Superlift, but use it at the 4" height, this is assuming that the longer front coils and shocks is not a problem.

you can buy a 4" lift and then buy 6" lift coil seperate if it is cheaper....
the Dana 35 is much stronger than the Dana 28....if you are running large tires and are beating it off road, upgrading should be an upgrade....
the Dana 35 is a DIRECT bolt in for the Dana 28....
