01 grill on a 98

01 grill on a 98

Is it possible to put in a 2001 grill (lights and all, no bumper) on a 1998??

and hood??

yes....you will have to change the header panel i believe....

the hood is a direct bolt on....

It def. wouldnt look right if you didnt also change the bumper and valance also...it does look so good when you do the change though!!

You can do it without changing the fenders, hood or bumper if you want but like Matt said it looks better with the complete package.

yep...header panel, headlamps, cornerlamps, grille & grille surround. I think i've read somewhere that some of the lamp plugs need to be updated, but i don't know for sure.

01-03 2wd XL/XLT hoods is the exact same hood that's on your truck now....and all the 98-03 hoods are all interchangable.

Grilles.....theres really 3 different ones......XL(black/grey bars), 2wd XLT(chrome bars), and the ones everybody likes, the XLT 4x4/ALL EDGE grille(honeycomb). The XL/XLT 2wd are called "closed" shell grilles. The XLT 4x4/EDGE grilles are called "open" shells grilles. So to run a particular grille style, you need to also have that particular shell as well.

easy on the generalizations there, i happen to hate the honeycomb grille

Still think it needs an edge bumper... or that lower valance needs to be painted yellow too lol
