? edge vs. 4x2

can anyone help me out? stock for stock does the edge have a higher ride height than the regular 4x2? if so what makes it higher is it the suspension? i want to know if it is the suspension then if you put the same 6" lift on both trucks would you come out with the same height? since youre changing the whole suspension system right? or would the edge be higher. if so why?

edge is torsion bar and 4x2 is coil sprung isn't it? and edge has a block in the back.

so what would be the difference in height if i was to lift the 4x4 vs. the 4x2 with the same 6" suspension kit?

Wouldn't the 4x2 sit a lil higher from not having the front diff up there?... I should think with the same 6in lift they would sit the same height because they're both built on the 4wd frame (edge and regular 4wd)

I was thinking the Edge would still sit higher.

That's what I was saying... the edge 2wd would sit a lil higher with not having the diff and stuff up front like a 4wd would...

depends on the torsion bar spring rate. several 2wds have lighter Tbar ratings. the 4wds have either Bs or 1s I think. Which are a heavier rate to hold the weight.

frame and front suspensions are different on 2wd edge and 2wd xlt

so the frame on the 2wd edge is different than the 2wd xlt frame? thats why the edge sits higher? so if i was to put a 6" on a 2wd xlt the edge would still be higher with the same kit because of the frame difference right?

Yup... the edge 2wd has the same suspension setup as a edge 4wd minus the 4wd part lol
