i feel bad sinc emy dad took my ranger and i took his xb the engine has gone completely haywire. So for fathers day img oing to buy this this engine. It will be going into an 2003 ranger edge 4x2 with the flex fuel. Let me know asap i need to bid on this thing asap.

The only thing i'd be worried about is the wiring- Ford did quite a few changes in that department from 2004+. I would say yes to physically, though. Maybe somebody has a wiring schematic for 2003 vs. a 2007 3.0L. Anyways, perfect opportunity to add bolt on goodies! Headers, pullies, better plug wires, etc.

 

The wiring is gonna be crazy different. Ford did 2 major wiring changes, one in 04 and another in 07.

 

the block and heads should be the same, you might have to use the intake and everything else from your truck.

i really don't know much about the 3.0

 

^^ just use the block and heads, and put all the old electronics and it should work
