So heres the story, I had today off and was going to go pick up some cloth seats to do the 60/40 to 40/40 mod but the guy called and said that they had sold them for more money than I offered (even though he said I had them reserved). I took the day off because I was going to try to fit it all in. So I told the g/f about it and she said, "Good, That means you can spend the whole day with me." I mumbled the "S" word and got gently slapped. Anyways this morning I got a call while I was waking but at about 5:30. Its the guy and he says hes got a set of ranger seats that he'll sell me that would fit my truck with brackets and all for aobut 1/2 the price of the other one's since he was "Shady" about the other ones. So, I get say i'll take em and get up and go. So I head on over to Merrillville IN (bout 2 hour drive from here) to pick em up. Then got a call maybe 15 mins away from the guys shop asking where I was at. All I said was Indiana and she got disconnected (stupid cell phones didn't help me this time). So low and behold I get there and theyre not a 60/40 bench. They are buckets!!! no mods for me. I spent all day installing them because rusty bolts are always fun with WD-40, a rachet, and a hammer... but heres the finished product.


Now all I gotta do is find a full length console to go in between there. BTW i know i asked if its been done before and you guys showed me. But do you know if the shifter will interfere with the cupholder if i have sumthin in there? :D

Sorry to here about the probs witht the junkyard plastichero, I had a guy sell an engine out from under meafter I had spent a year looking for the right one. I had dealt with the SOB for twenty years and he does that to me so told him off and never went back.

Oh, and I don't need anymore ideas on how to **** off the girlfriend...lol In fact, I think she is a little pissed that I drank my 30 pack of bush light last night all by myself while she was at work!

haha them are all great ways to do it but I think leaving at 5:30 in the morning to go to milwaukee for the free beer tour at miller and then not returning till 4 this morning wins over all of em..

I wanna say this though about the seats, whoever has the 60/40 bench like my old one with no real coushin, get rid of them asap because last year on our trip up to milwaukee my back hurt reallly bad after sitting in the truck for 3 hours then on the tailgate for another 6, well this year My back really didnt ache till I fell down like 3 rows of bleachers at the end of the race.

yea the g/f is pissed but shell do something to me later to make up for it, our relationship is kinda like living with a roommate that actually cares about ya (and loves) but we do what we want when we want becasue of our age (youngins at 21 yrs old) and its all worked out.

BTW how much does a full length console run ya?

 

Are bucket seats a direct fit in an 02 single cab?

 

I really wouldn't know they came out of a 99 ranger and into a 00 so was fairly simple for me.
