Idle/shifting

Sometimes when I am driving ( especially in first gear) and let of the gas as to maybe come to a stop light or sign my idle stays a bit hi and all of a sudden it slams into the next gear BAM it does this off and on all the time! is this an idle control issue? shift sensor issue? basically it is not IMMEDIATELY recognizing that I have removed my foot from the gas pedal and wants to shift since it is kinda right at that point to shift ANYWAYS.

I have a new tranny from ford with a 3 year 75,000 warranty and it did this with the old tranny also so I don't think it is the tranny.

Hmmm, since his tranny is a manual and mine is auto this is an interesting issue and puts my mind more at ease thinking it's not my tranny.

On a side not I can do NO braking at all and it will still do it!

Didn't know you had a auto.

BUT!!!That doesn't mean your IAC wouldn't be a problem.

Also check your tranny kickdown cable if your truck has one. I don't know what years had one.
