cold air intake+winter?

im thinkin about gettin a cold air intake for my ranger..but i was thinking the south dakota winters can be pretty harsh, would it suck in to much cold air if i left it on? or should i switch it back to stock when it starts gettin cold?

Most of them are not true cold air intakes, they still suck warm air from the engine compartment so I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah the stock intake is a cold air intake so an aftermarket one wont hurt. Make sure when you buy a aftermarket intake that you get something that has some sort of box to it. I had the K&N and the heatshield sucked on it.
