well is it possible if so anyone got picks on how they modified the brackets?

 

Mine had brackets that bolted to the frame that had a bracket sticking straight out toward the front of the truck then the brush guard bolted to them, if that makes any sense. I just took a 5x7 piece of 1/4 steel and drilled the frame bracket holes in the bottom then drilled the holes for the brush guard in the top.
Hope that helps you understand it somewhat either way I'll get you some pics up tomorrow.

Just take the brackets to a fab shop and ask them to cut 3 inches out of the middle and weld it all back together

no, because the grille guard attaches to the bottom of the frame. The bottom of your bumper is going to get 3" closer to the bottom of your frame.

Its hard to explain.

Everything above the frame is going to get 3" father away from the frame, every thing under the frame is going to get 3" closer to the frame.

 

that makes no sense to me right now guess ill figure it out when the time comes

 

I'll post some pics tomorrow. Unless your bracketry is different it will at least give you one option to lift it.

Okay, to ease up any ocncerns:

When you do a bodylift.. everythign sits up HIGHER 3" off of the body then normal.

The bracketry for any brush guard is set to mount form yoru bumper, drop it down to right below the bumper, and then wrap around the front end.. if you raise your body 3 inches, that means you need to raise the bracket 3 inches as well.. which, in the case of a bumepr guard, you raise it by cutting out 3 inches of the bracket and re-welding it... which will make it mount higher then normal.

 

Hmm... not the best pic, but this is how i lifted mine, the frame bracket stayed in the same spot and it lifted the guard 3 in. you can't tell the guards been lifted if you've got your valance on.

ok thanks i took a look today on mine as well and i think i understand how it works now i thought it was originally connected to the frame.

 

when i got mine it had a extra set of holes where you bolt it to the frame i just moved it up and used them holes
