I've heard a lot of opinions from my friends and stuff but i wanted to know what you guys would recomend. so far im thinkin line x.

my truck is Rhino have the receipt since 2002.. its now 2008 looks fine no peeling... buddy grants truck is Rhino looks good think as hell would know we have to cut the bed bolts out on his...

GF dad has had 4 trucks since i have been around Rhino they all look great... so whats the issue...

 

Line-x is better material. its harder and more durable. The line-x shop near me has samples of several spray in bedliners and when you get them side by side, you can tell the difference

 

Couple buddies had it in their trucks, it chipped, peeled, faded, and is slippery. If it's worked for you great. Maybe it's just a canadian thing i dunno. I also think that line-x looks better.

 

just interesting. that i have a truck with it for over 5 years looks fine stuff doesnt move and no chipping or peeling... interesting.. heck they didnt even spray over my bed bolts when they did it... kinda nice...

also its the quality of the shop that sprays it.. if prepping isnt right NEITHER line-x or Rhino will hold up AT ALL...

All I can say is compare the 2 products. Rhino is the "original" but line-x is just so much better. Not that Rhino doesnt work or anything, but why not get the better stuff?

 

i got line-x. truck was prepped and bolts were taken out then put back in.

agree about the prep work comment.

my guy walked me through it all. i cleaned out my bed and he said it doesn't matter cuz they sand the clear to make the liner adhear.
go with line-x. the government used it when they fixed the pentagon.

 

well i dont want to be promoting a company again!!! but line x is high pressure and rhino is low pressure. This means low pressure is not comming out of the gun as fast. it is gummier and sticky. High pressure is comming out or the gun much faster which makes it thiner. THATS NOT BAD. in fact either is good for whatever use you intend for it. Low pressure is made to not be able to drag things on it. High is the opposite. Now i know of a really good company. If you want to know it write me. I cant advertise. drop ins hold water under them and then causes cancer!!!

 

As long as your bed drains arent plugged up you'll be fine. My 2000 had one and never had a problem with it. But I ran a tonneau for the last 2.5 years I had it. Though, On an older truck I could understand the rusting out issue. I've just personally never cared for slathering your bed with stuff that will never come off, crusting over bed bolts and the such. But that's just my opinion.

 

I love my Line-X. Its about 5 years old and still good as new (when i actually clean the truck). Its held up very well also with all the hauling of bikes, quads, the numerous friend's furniture, etc.

 

Just food for thought here, I pulled out my factory drop in last month for the first time and there was no rust or anything under it, looked new just scratched a little. I have friends that have both Rhino and Line-x and I have to say the Line-X stays better looking for a longer time than the Rhino does. I'll be getting Line-X sprayed sooner or later.

I did a herculiner. It was like $115 for the hurculiner kit, a paint pan, mineral spirits, and what ever other supplies I needed. It looks good. If you dont have a tonneau make sure you get the UV protectant.

I just couldnt see dropping $500 for a bed liner.

Oh and whether you do it yourself or have someone else do it, make sure you/they dont coat over the bed bolts.

 

I have had Line-X on both of my Rangers. A great bed liner, and they don't BS with the warranty. If you chip it, they will fix it. The liners are very hard to chip though and are the most durable I have seen.

 

Line x was used on my dads truck and is nice. Love the quality of the spray, we did take a chunk out of it slighty with a piece of steel. I got to steal his truck from him and take it to Line-X for him since he wont go lol.

 

yeah, they will fix it. i was sliding some steel out of my bed and f-ed up the tailgate a little. i took it in and it was fixed within an hour no questions asked. great product with great customer support

 

well i line x seems to be the popular vote so im gonna go with it. is it really $500

 

I was quoted $475 for under the rails and $575 for go over the rails

 

wow ok didnt see that comin. i was thinkin 300. i only paid 900 for the truck. is it even worth. i probably wont ever sell it

 

I would say no, if you only paid $900. I would either hit up craigslist and find a cheap drop in, or get a hurculiner kit.
