just put that center console thing in today from walmart lol, i did the 60/40 change how to yesterday. looking for sweet ideas my next thing will probally be seat covers. in the back is 2x12" Pyle Subs with a 460 watt Dual amp. i made the boxes and carpeted them with some spare we had. again i want suggestions, ideas, thoughts please! Hmmm... it's a start... if you want ideas i would for sure start with covering those boxes with something else and either recover or buy covers for the seat. Also that little console thing on top of the center console is not cutting it for me.... I'd fix that situation too.

 

^^ ditto on the console. it looks good except for the cupholders on top. i like how it locks though. you should paint it black though.

 

i second the idea off getting rid of the 5th and 6th cup holder on top. painting it black would look sick. 08XLT4x4 found this site for some sick covers, http://www.wetokole.com/ a set with black and yellow would be an nice match with the color of your truck

I used the krylon fusion paint on my bedrails. It's made for plastic so you could give that a shot

 

take that goofy *** ugly center console out of there. Go find yourself an Explorer Full Length center console. It's a great fit to the dash...and a beautiful lookin' mod.

Remove all those interior decals. Add Explorer Sport gauge cluster. Recover those boxes...or better yet....fab up a new box.

 

Yeah I agree with what Shane said, get a Expo full console and get rid of that ugly carpet on the boxes. Good start, but you can make it so much nicer.

 

Is that camo carpet on the boxes or hotel lobby carpet?

I like the console, Not big on the 6 cupholders though! Maybe like they said take off the top two and paint it black, that'd look good.

I think people get a little to into this 60/40 to 40/40 swap sometimes. lol

Edge seats 64/40 or not, are about 100 times nicer than those junkers.

OK, not bashing anything... but that console... my dad has that pile of crap in his 93 Exploder. I hate it everytime I have to borrow the Ex. It's cheap, and worthless. The cupholders arent deep enough to make it worth while..


Go to the JY, find an Expo center console, or find a Ranger with buckets and snag that console out of it.

Also, fix the sub issue... not the carpet on it, but the position of them. They pound right into eachother... build a box that puts them together and see what it does!

 

BTW... when you re-cover those boxes... buy new carpet for your basement... I can't imagine that nightmare

 

to add to this, I agree to a point that your stock seats would look nicer. Throw some new upholstery or seat covers on and then youre good to go!

 

umm...THOSE seats pictured IS an 02 edge 60/40 that has been cut down to the 40/40 mod.. I don't know what your saying there...

 

I don't think anyone has said this yet... But please dude, run that amp power wire UNDER the vinyl!
