Another Borla muffler thread...

After months of lurking around, this is my first thread so...

Anyway, I have a massive hole in my muffler due to the rough winter we had last year, and all the salt and rocks on the roads. I've done quite a bit of searching and I'm looking at getting the Borla PreXS muffler in 2.5" SI/SO.

First question. Would this be okay with my stock piping, which is in good shape, or should I get new piping bent up?

Second question. Should I get the muffler with the in and out piping centered, or offset?

Anyway, thanks guys.

you will have to look at the stock muffler but i think its center in offset out. also its 2.25" exhaust tube.

personally I'd do new from the Cat back.

I agree. Do a catback. That stock mid-pipe is too small and will rust off too.

Get a SS cat-back and be done with it. You'll pick up a little power and not worry about it rusting off in the next few years.

Alright, thanks for the input guys. I'll probably do what you guys said, and pick up the 2.5" and just have a new catback bent up.

There are some nice mail order ones out there.

I've got the magnaflow SS w/dual outlets.

I just ordered that muffler and I got a damn good deal on it. $73 I'd recommend to anyone to check A&A before heading right to the internet.

I have Borla Pro X/S SI/DO and love it. Great sound to it, not to loud and not to quiet.

It's not too loud which I like. It's more or less like stock sound. I'll have to get a recording of it up sometime.
