billet gas door

thinking of changing to round door door and getting a round billet gas door...anyone know how feasible and if any particular gas door would most easily be attached instead of the square gas door i currently have?

A round gas door, in a square hole lol. You would have to cut out your stock square gas door and skin in a round one. It wouldn't be easy but it would be a unique, awesome mod.

don't think square would look decent... i know a round one would have to be grafted on, am assuming either f-150 or mustang abundant supply of choices... i remember car craft did something similiar to a nova i believe to remove the exposed gas cap to a hidden design

The contour of the bodyside panels are different. The ranger gas door has a unique part number therefore it is not shared with another vehicle line.

I'm not a body man, but wouldn't it be "possible" to surface mount a round door over the square hole? If the door was big enough to cover the old opening? Seems to me, all you would have to do is unbolt the original door. Bolt or rivet the new door surround to the fender and you're all set.

Here is a pic of one from "RockinRobin69", the site admin over at Generation-Edge. The billet gas door was a topic on G-E's forums a couple of years ago. Here is the link: http://generation-edge.info/topic.as...illet,gas,door
