Track Pics

Hey guys. I finally got the chance to share this with you. I got to take SI out Sat. to the KY speedway for the drive the track promotion. pretty simple, blow 40 bucks in the gift shop and they let you drive the track.

Even though I did have a pace truck we did get up around 90. not bad for the first time out. I hope to get a better run with some tweaks.

well enough yapping here are some pics. Enjoy!

Thanks guys.

I still have a few things to do but it's come a long way.

here's the specs on the truck.

92 Ranger
2.3L with CAI and 95 Header.
5/7 drop with Beams springs and rear flip.

The motor is pretty much stock but the truck only had 40K on it so I dont' want to do anything to drastic yet. I am leaning toward a cam kit but if I do anything really big I will go 5.0.

Whats with the antenna? Looks like a bent clothes hanger.

I like the look you've gone with on the truck. I thought about doing a similar look on mine, but figured I needed more power (turbo) and a few more suspension mods to make it legit.

The taillights are in the tailgate in the words "Sudden Impact"

Did you just put the spoiler on it, or has that always been on it?

I'll be damned, I thought it was a Yota too at a glance. Thats weird, because they dont look that similiar in the first place.

Great stance for track BTW. Personally I wouldn't bother doing much else to the 2.3L. Ask any of the guys who have done a 5.0 swap to determine your own opinion but the extra torque you would gain and mid-range power would be a significant difference. If you're concerned about losing money on what you have invested/done to the 2.3L, I'm sure plenty of 2.3T guys (Rangers, Mustangs and Capris) would like to give you some cash for it if it's in good shape.

Either way awesome truck, a 5.0 would make it even more B/A

Are you wearing a Carl Edwards hat? And the truck is looking great as always.

John. That antenna is the original one that was with the truck, my grand pa and I made that with some time and a torch. we did that 15 years ago. I am looking for a replacement just don't know what I want to use.

The truck behind me is actually one of the KY speedway Track trucks. it's a f150 with all the work gear, fire suppression, safety gear, and welder. that truck was pacing a vette and they blew by us.

Ray, I put the spoiler on right after the first pics I took. I got the cover and the spoiler painted but most of my pics were corrupted so I have to take some more. I will have those up soon I hope.

Sniper, I haven't done much with it, it's more that it's a low milage engine. but I will have to look at that option once I am ready to do the 5.0 swap.

Ranger N Dog, I am wearing a Carl Edwards hat. when I was standing up on the back of the truck I was asked if I was going to do a back flip. I said only when I was ready to be paralyzed. I know I would land on my head. lol

Thanks again guys!

Yeah it is but it's all bolted down plus they have the gates on. The really fast guys get to follow the Mustang Shelby cobra Pace car. They suck!

lol
