Does anyone have or know how good a ranger would do with a snow plow. If you do can you post pics. Thanks.

 

I would never do it to a daily, way to much wear and tear.

 

Ford specifies that t-bar rangers are not ment for plowing...

BUT there is a few plows out there for the ranger. they need very light weight plows, T-bar's do not like alot of weight hanging over the front at all. even a winch you notice its there..

there is a Alum kind and also a clear plastic kind there called "mini" blades, or light weight blades..

 

I would get at least a full size for something like that.

 

I've been plowing my road (1/4 mile) plus helping the nieghbors out for 20+ years.
A Ranger is too small to do any plowing with.
You don't have to just worry about weight on the front end.It's also about all the hard stuff you run into you can't see under the snow.
If I was to use a Ranger here for plowing , I might get about 2 hours out of it before I had the front frame twisted into a pretzel.
The truck is not designed for plowing.

You can it but its definitely not preferred. I've plowed for 4 year professionally now, and it is brutal on a truck. IMO a ranger is pretty darn light as well, it makes is really hard to push alot of snow. We use F-350 dump trucks full of salt with V-10 tritons and they have a hard time pushing alot of snow at the end of a parking lot.

 

rangers and s10's and small little trucks are not ment for a plow.... even 1/2 tons really arnt ment for a plow i would never plow with anything less then a 3/4 ton. Last year i plowed with a 73 Ford 1ton dually that thing pushed snow like it was built for it.
