Fiberglass bed?

I have a 90 ranger that i swapped bodies on, and the truck body i used was the same year and model only 4X2. The bed is completely fiberglass. the only metal on it is the fuel door. Was this an option in 90, or is it aftermarket? I've never seen another fiberglass bed anywhere. Just curious as to how i got so lucky finding the donor truck.

There were a few companies making fiberglass step side bodies back then, the dealer I was at then had them from Centurion or one of the conversion companies. I had seen both steel boxes with glass fenders and a few with all glass sides. Then there was a few that almost looked like the later Splash beds in all fiberglass.
The best looking ones were those with the steel box and stand alone glass fenders, they had a more authentic or classic look and appeared more 'factory' in general.

The best looking one's used rear fenders that matched the flare design of the front fenders much like those on the step side F150.

Heres some pics of the bed, they're not the greatest but u can see what it looks like. i think it looks stock on the outside, but the inside has hooks towards the bottom that ive never seen on any truck before.

that looks a lot like the US Body beds they offer. it's possible that somewhere long the line the PO had a bed smashed and bought a fiberglass replacement instead. anything is possible. Unless you can find a FOMOCO stamp on it somplace I doubt it'a factory piece.
