i have flowmaster 40 on my truck right now and im trying to now make it much quieter...unfortunately i tossed to the stock muffler in the garbage forever ago so i went to the junk yard to try and grab one off a ranger or explorer for cheap but they only had one ranger and 3 explorers and they were smushed under stacks of cars...they had an exhaust system sittin in the back of a pickup of an f150...it was a true duals setup with the ford stamp on the muffler so im guessin it was from the f150...will the stock f150 muffler shut my truck up?

 

I would imagine it would work. To bad you are not closer. I have a stock ranger muffler sitting in my garage.

not sure but it might be illegal now to ship used exhuast parts .... cause i know you cant sell used cateleytic converters

 

I bought my current muffler used from a member in Michigan. He shipped it to me though UPS(I think).

Melt, that's prolly because it's illegal to remove a cat. The mufflers are kind of a different ball game I would believe.
