ok so i've got an 05 edge (white) and here in ontario.. they like to use ALOT of salt on the roads in the winter, so product of the salt is now a rusty white front bumper which looks like ****.

i have been thinking about swaping with a chrome front bumper but i cant find a picture chrome on white in the edge style front end

please help me out so i dont spend my money and then find out it possibly looks like crap

05 and rusting already? I have a 2002 Mazda with a chrome bumper and not a hint of rust on that. My rockers are rusting, but that's about it.

+1 for Ontario sucking.

 

Chrome will rust faster then paint.

I would put on some rustoleum paint and put the bumper back on.

Hmmm,I see no rust on my 2002's chrome with 406 000km

 

NY uses a ton of salt and I don't have that problem.

How often do you wash your truck? It won't matter if you get a new one. If an 05 bumper has already done this then your just going to be wasting your money every couple of years. Figure out another bumper or powder coat it. Or get it line x'd.

 

Mn uses a crap load of salt as well and theres no bumper rust on my 2000. I would rhino line it.
