Should I do it?

My boss is selling his 05 F150 Super Cab XLT. He wants 5k for is. As far as I know the plugs have been changed. He runs royal purple, and he has changed the exhaust Manifold. Thats really all I know about it.

The only thing is, I think its coming up on 200k mileage wise. (It was originally a parts runner for and oil tool company)

If I were to get it. What do I need to look for? What parts start to fail around 200k?

Wow 200k is a lot of miles. It's a toss up because you never know what's getting ready to go out.

I know first hand how company trucks get treated sometimes. Mileage doesnt mean a lot to me as I do all my own work. Do you know the service history of the truck? I would say check the truck out really well or have someone you trust do it and then decide for yourself if its worth it to you.

It was a parts runner and hotshot truck all it did was bring guys to the docks and run parts 100+ Miles. So they are mainly highway miles

But in saying that, it is a company vehicle. People are not usually kind to them.

It would be a nice beater? A '79 Ford is a nice beater. Not an '05.
