Some More thinking??
Thinking about lifting or lowering the 09 ranger. Would like some feedback. I have been told it would lookd awsome lowered. but then again same for lifted. Would anyone photoshop and let me see what it would look like..
lowered you live where you can get away with it..
4/5 drop easy. some nice wheels and tires. remove the door bumpers its just tapped on, tint windows, remove the "rock guards" on the fenders, bed cover, STX grille, color match headlights or black, add fog light lower valance..
and done..

2WD lower -- 4WD lift it.
If it's your DD I think I'd be conservative and go with a 2"/3" drop.
Then go with 18" wheels and bigger tires to get the illusion of being lower. (255/55 X 18)
With that combo you'll have some mild inner fender rubbing on bad roads.
A static 4"/5" drop on a DD can be a PITA with speed bumps and sharp driveways.
I've had both and speak from experience.
If you can live with it, then go for it and do the 4"/5" drop.
