My bodywork and minor mechanical work is almost done. I plan on not starting mods til next summer but my 1st mod will be a supercharger and the components. Its between the vortech s trim and the kenne bell. Im leaning toward the kenne bell cuz the sound and the power. I neeeeeeeeeeed opinionssss

Theres a Vortech S-Trim for sale in my hood. For about 1800. Full kit.

 

damn, kenne belles though have that distinct noise unlike anything else. Thats a steal but im not buying right now im just seeing whats the best to do

 

I don't know why but vortech has always turned me off for some reason. Between the 2 I would go for the Kenne Bell.

I read Muscle mustang and Fast Fords magazine a lot. I have often thought that for your weekend warrior or daily driver I would go for the Kenne Bell, but if I was doing serious racing and competing there is no question it would be a Pro Charger. With a procharger power is unlimited they have blowers that surport like 3,000 horsepower or something rediculous.

According to Muscle mustang and Fast Fords magazine a twin screw like the kenne bell is going to deliever the best low end torque. Twin screws must be good because ford put one on the Ford GT.

 

Kenne Bell is great for the Ranger, since it provides full boost by 1800-2000RPM. This helps move out heavy *** trucks along! My 4x4 4-door weighs in at 4520lbs on calibrated scales!

Explain more about this snaping of the nose? I have never heard of that?

Yeah, procharger! Comes with an FMU so you don't have to get a custom burn for the computer.

 

I have a deal running on powerdyne right now. Full 9psi kit for 1599.00. They are sweet kits for the 86-93 5.0L mustangs. I sell the procharger kit as well and they make a damn good supercharger. between them all (and i may lose business on this) I recommend the Kenne Bell. Procharger is almost $4200 at the most expensive. Procharger still offers a lot of kit for the money.

When I was running my Kenne Bell at 7-8psi, it was absolutely a sleeper. The Kenne Bell is not like a Roots, it doesn't start to whine until it is in the 10-12psi range. You would never know I had a Kenne Bell or any other S/C on my Ranger when I was running at 7-8psi.

Plus, with all of the low RPM (where you normally run the engine) torque, the Kenne Bell kicks serious ***. It may not have the 5-6K RPM capability of a centrifugal, but for daily driving, trailer towing, and off road, NOTHING will beat a positive displacement screw supercharge, accept more stoke (AKA 408-427 cu in windsor)

unfortunately at this time there is no whipple offered for the 5.0L V8 on the mustangs. Who knows why but just as you said, the Screw type are much better...

oh gary, my buddy has a white lightning as well and he just converted the guts of his blower to the whipple.. that thing kicks ***.
