Help with ac mod 2007 wiring is different

Hey guys just trying to wire an ac bypass switch in my truck and was following the how to guide and ran into a snag

the guide describes the wire to ne cut is the purple one on the top of the connector... My violet wire is on the bottom of it so do I ignore colors and just cut the top wire or stick with the violet

I have a 2007 level ii so I think the wiring has changed since the guide was done

For 2007, the switch can be used in EITHER the green/brown OR the green/orange at the Function Selector Switch.

You throw a switch onto the A/C demand wire which tells the A/C compressor to turn on. That way when you are getting the freeway or something you can turn off the compressor but still circulate the air in the truck.

As with almost all V6 Rangers, when you turn the A/C on, your truck turns into a 4 banger, lol.

I found that out the hard way on a super hot day in wisco land. I thought my truck was effed, then I realized the vent control knobber was not in the off position.

i guess the ranger doesnt do it, but my GP had a cool little thing where when you went WOT it turned off the AC compressor and gave you back all your power

Rangers shut the A/C off at WOT the same way. The advantage of adding the switch is that you have the option to turn the A/C off all the time in all selector positions if desired.
