how big do the holes i have to drill need to be? anybody know off the top of their head? just getting an idea before i go downstairs to the garage and tear it up!

and its probably easier if i take the wheel off and put a jackstand under the axle to do it huh

Yeah, the install shouldn't be too bad..I just got done putting mine on two days ago....

Haven't driven it enough yet to notice a difference, but I have always heard good things..and wasn't too much $$ to find out!

 

well ended up running to lowes for the right socket then got-r-done.
just finished driving around for a few min. drives great! found a patch of water and went sideways around the corner. but my stability feels a billion times better. much more controllable. very noticeable difference. and install was easy. worst part is drilling the holes lol

another thing about the bars, i feel like they really improved the ride in the rear. normal bumps that i go over everyday aren't felt as much as they used to be

 

I need my bushings damnit!! lol. When I get bushings, I'm putting 'em back on.

 

i thought they were for stock suspension trucks only? or did i read wrong or something

 

lol...you can run 'em on lifted....shoot...even with 6" lift springs. The front bracket bends itself so you can use it. lol. Seed60's got 'em on MY lift springs that that butthead outbid me on.

 

I want some too. Where'd you get em from? And how much you pay for them?

 

they're the duff traction bars. order from their site. i just called and ordered because their online order form is janky as hell.

And yeah, Traction bars are kickin - You really notice it in the rear out on dusty roads and over the washboards.. especially when you lay into the gas and feel the rear end sink into the road for traction.. feels grrrrrrreat! (Tony the Tiger.. hah!)

yeah usually when i accelerate on dirt and spin the tires i get some scary axle hop. enough to make me stop spinning the tires. i love how it feels now
